What happens after you send a message

Messages from the form or email go to one inbox, read by the person who builds and maintains this site — there is no support queue or ticketing system in between. That means replies are personal but not instant: expect 2–3 business days, longer around a bug that needs actual reproduction and a fix rather than a canned answer.

For a compression bug specifically, the fastest path to a fix is a message that includes the tool page you used (e.g. compress-image, compress-zip), roughly how large the file was, your browser and OS, and — if you can share it without exposing anything sensitive — what kind of file it was (a photo, a scanned PDF, a screen recording). Since nothing you compress is ever uploaded to this site, we cannot see the file itself unless you choose to attach a copy to your message; the report has to describe what happened.
